Kia ora and welcome, I'm Andy. I'm here to walk with you as you process your experiences.

There are times in our lives where it can help to have someone to talk to, who can listen with empathy and confidentiality.

I aim to help you access your knowledge of yourself, your struggles, your hopes, your choices and your next steps.

Come as you are and be met with acceptance and safety no matter your background, gender, cultural and spiritual identity, or ethnicity.

You have found a Safe Place.

He wāhi haumaru tenei.

About Me

Ko wai au?

I have a Bachelor of Counselling. I adapt my approach to best suit your experiences, drawing on a range of person-centred and strengths-based approaches. Your beliefs, values and culture will be respected. We will look at the effects of your current experiences and collaborate to identify empowering pathways forwards that fit with your strengths and preferences.

I have experienced many of the human experiences that you have, including relationships, bereavement and grief, blended family, anxiety, career change, parenting and empty nesting.

I have worked with women and men, teens through to post-retirement, who are processing and growing through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, questions of identity, decision making, stress and overwhelm, separation, neurodiversity, adult children, communication difficulties, relationship and family experiences and other concerns.

I follow the requirements of the NZCCA and NZAC Codes of Ethics to provide you with professional, Tiriti informed and ethical counselling services. I attend regular supervision sessions with a professional supervisor to ensure best practice.

Records are confidential and secure. Confidentiality is assured, although I will discuss with you any limitations of this, including where there is potential risk of harm.
